~ Chaac ~
Working on Chaac was a brand new experience. Skin 8 and 9
were part of a DREAM HACK event with a norse invasion theme, same
with the Kali skins 8 and 9. These skins for rathe fun, though the
challenge for this skin was more in getting the belt across his
torso to follow his body. That in itself was not new, but it was my
first experience with weighting 4 individual arms on the same body.
Weighting both of these skins at the same time was ejoyable and it
taught me how to handle multitasking between gods and
skins.

~ Ah Puch ~
Ah Puch was an interesting god to work with; not difficult, but interesting. This skin for Ahpuch was fun, and it was one of his few skins that show an expressive face. I had a lot of fun weighting him and his minions for this chilling skin.

Working on AhPuch's Skin 5 was relatively straight forward. The quirky part of this skin to handle I would say was the skirt leaves and the lei around his neck. the skirt, because his previous skins had more rigid materials, so weighting these leaves to follow the old animations had me going back and forth for polish. The lei was less of a challenge than I anticipated. I created a proxy with similar volume then skin wrapped the lei to the proxy for the volume.

This skin for AhPuch made the minions very different. Honestly, when these were assigned to me I was quite surprised. I managed to reuse the old rig for the minions with haveing to make only minor tweaks. I manually added in a horselink bone to the biped and adjusted the skirt bones for their new positions. The animations transitioned rather easily to the new skeleton setup.

I chose this idle animation because it shows a wide range of movement as well as how expressive his face is.

AhPuch's Minions have very little animations, but my personal favorite animation is the Fire Animation because of how large the mouth opens.

AhPuch's Minions have very little animations. This is the run animation for the double minions where they dash forward.

This Intro animation was made unique for AhPuch's Skin 5, Freaky Tiki. I always enjoy how animated AhPuch is with his actions and personality.

There are not may animations I can show off with this double Minion, so I chose to show the looping animation of the double minion running forward.

~ Camazotz ~
I did not build the main part of this skin for Camazotz. My part in this Skin was in weighting the head fin and the new facial bones.

Camazotz is usually at the maximum number of bones for the editor, so some skins are hard to budget new controls for. This skin was cool to work on because I added 5 new tail controls as well as two hidden controls inside the wings to preserve the bands in the wing lining. The two added wing bones were tricky to weight without messing up the existing wing behavior.

Camazotz's Skin 5 was a T2 rig, meaning that there would be no new controls or animation support. The addition of the rib cage on the torso and the skull on the face was fun and intersting in maintainting the expressions on his face in the animations.

~ Awilix ~
Awilix seemed simple when I initially saw her, but her rig had a couple quirks that were interesting. She shares a rig file with her jaguar so she has an extensive skeleton, but aside from that, she was fun to work on. Awilix is one of SMITE's more animated gods and it was fun to incorporate her new controls and bones into her fluid animations.

Awilix's partner Jaguar to the Skin 5 was relatively simple with the body being nearly one to one to the base cat. Like with Awilix herself, the weird part in this rig was in the two of them sharing a skeleton but having seperate exports. Otherwise the addition of the feathers on the face and legs were fun to weight.
